Jaja Dario creates her art much like how a record player plays a song. With a compass, she drafts overlapping concentric circles on a wooden surface and paints patterns of movement in a variety of color as she spins the surface around to express rhythm, melody, and harmony in each painting. The titles of her paintings are inspired by songs.

Born in Los Angeles in 1979, Jaja grew up in Manila where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of the Philippines in 2004.
